Video Transcript
Optimal learning relies on a careful balance of training styles.
It's said that we learn something new every day. And learning is vital for our career development and growth.
Unfortunately, there's no "one-size-fits-all" training solution. But, the 70:20:10 model can offer you a more balanced learning experience.
It says that the best learning experience includes 70 percent Experience, 20 percent Exposure, and 10 percent Education.
- Experience. 70 percent of learning can be "on-the-job" experience. But ensure that the tasks you delegate to learners have a genuine purpose.
- Exposure. This is learning that flows from experience, such as interactions with colleagues and social learning.
- Education. This is formal training, such as compliance courses or classroom-based learning. Help your people to prepare for it, and to apply their new knowledge to their jobs.
