7 Steps to Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

Video Transcript

Follow these seven steps to turn your dreams into reality.

Do you ever feel like you can't get your ideas off the ground? It's easy to see nothing but obstacles when we imagine taking action. The following seven steps can help you to turn your ideas into reality!

  1. Consider who will be affected by your idea. This is the moment to define your "target market." Your idea could benefit more people than you realize.
  2. Think about how it will affect them. Will they welcome your idea? Will the benefits outweigh the costs?
  3. The best way to go forward is to go backward! Begin with your end goal in mind and create your plan in "reverse." This way, you're less likely to get lost because you started at the finish. And be sure to write down your plan. It's unlikely to become a reality while it's only in your imagination.
  4. Evaluate your proposal. Now that you have a plan in place, you'll need to check it thoroughly.
  5. Ask for feedback. Share your idea with your target market. Does the idea seem reasonable and worthwhile? Do they have any suggestions for improvement?
  6. Take action! This is the daunting part. But it's also your chance to achieve something amazing! An idea will remain just that – an idea – unless you take action to turn it into a reality.
  7. Focus on the end result. It's inevitable that you'll hit setbacks. Thomas Edison had over 10,000 failures before he successfully created the light bulb. So above all, don't give up. Success could be just around the corner!
